Product Description
Avian Calcium, a pure calcium supplement for all species of birds. The Avian Calcium uses only Precipitated Calcium Carbonate which is white in color and is essentially lead free. Impurities in other sources of calcium carbonate (e.g. Oyster Shell Calcium) cause the supplement to appear gray in color. The calcium carbonate particles in Avian Calcium have a unique shape, and an extremely high surface area per grams, resulting in increased calcium bioavailability. Calcium is essential for the formation and maintenance of strong bones, egg production, blood clotting, and other vital life functions. With Avian Calcium you can take comfort in knowing that your birds are getting highly bioavailable source of calcium carbonate that is free of harmful impurities.

I thought baby Daisy would be permanently disabled, with her legs being too weak to support herself. I gave her a mixture of this calcium - along with other nutrients (and “Physical Therapy” sessions) - and she’s now almost 2 months old, fully able to stand on her own with zero splint.

We would cut worms in half and dip them into this powder and give them to our duck daily when she is laying eggs, but you can also sprinkle directly into their food or water and mix. Or mix with another type of treat and feed to them.
Other then that I'm happy with this calcium powder. My cockatiels have a calcium deficiency and supplementing has been very hard, because they're picky eaters. I mix a small amount of this in with their pellets every day and they don't seem to even notice! Not sure how much it's effecting their calcium levels as they haven't had their re-check at the vet yet.

Unfortunately the product seal was broken as many others stated, it doesn't appear to be tampered with I think it was just a manufacturing defect. The powder sticks well to the food and is easy to mix, however my birdies are really not liking it. They are very picky eaters and won't eat their veggies either :'( The powder seems okay, it has chalk-like texture. Seems like calcium to me. Hoping they will adjust to it because they also won't chew on their mineral blocks.
