I read all of the horror stories about the condition people received their kennels in due to the size and weight so I was worried we would receive ours damaged too. Ours actually arrived in pretty good condition. The UPS man moved it around with a dolly and my husband wrestled it into the house. The box is huge and the kennel is very heavy. We sliced open the side and slid the kennel out. Everything is held together with white zip ties. A few of the panels were stuck together, but they were easy enough to unhook the side hooks from where they attached themselves.
Putting this together was a bit of a chore, not because it was hard, but because it was big and bulky and there were two of us that insisted we knew what we were doing, so we argued over which way the panels should face, put them upside down a couple of times, then had to re-do them. This does come with a set of directions, but some of the pictures weren't really that clear. The picture on the outside of the box actually gives you a better idea on how this all fits together.
There were a couple of places where the wires were bent and we had to straighten them out with a pair of pliers. Also one of the side wires had a broken weld where it connects at the top, it was next to one of the bent hooks (corner area) so it had probably been set down a bit too hard at some point during shipping. It doesn't seem like it will affect the kennel, and it doesn't show so I'm not going to worry about it.
I'm not too pleased about the side door of this kennel though. The top slide bolt latch did not slide into the holder that was welded onto the side. The holder had been welded a tiny bit too low (quality control should have checked this), we had to bend the tip of the sliding pin down a little so it would be able to slide into the latch. The side door also seems a little stiff to open and close, as if it is misaligned. We can still open and close the door though, and once shut it is very secure. There were also a few areas we had to straighten out so the drop pins could connect the corners.
Once this is put together it really is very sturdy. It is not flimsy at all, we are actually pleased at how sturdy this kennel looks and feels. The bottom pan slides in and out smoothly, and I won't worry about our dog spending time in the kennel while we are gone, or during the night. She loves the extra room and until she finishes growing she has plenty of room inside to sprawl out and play with all of her toys.
The problem areas we found when this kennel first arrived were easy fixes, the completed kennel is large and strong. I checked around before I purchased this kennel and the price here was so much more reasonable than anywhere else, plus you get free delivery right to your house. If you have the room, and you have one of the giant breed dogs, then this kennel will be perfect.
*Update 7/31/16- at 5.5 months old now our dane puppy is still growing. There is plenty of room in this kennel for her, her jumbo round Costco bed, and a stack of toys. She loves her crate! Our Aussie and the cats also love going inside to relax. Giant puppies can make giant messes, this crate is the perfect size for her and we are so happy that there is plenty of room inside for her to grow. No worries about her eating the couch while we are gone!

The crate inside the box had one slight bend in it which fortunately did not impact the assembly. The directions were excellent and it was easy to assemble … whew! Now my pooch has plenty of room to move around and space as he continues to grow. I went with a larger crate because I wanted him to have more room rather than just enough. You can see in the pictures how he was outgrowing his large crate. He’s a golden doodle, weighs 51 lbs right now and is still gaining if that gives an idea of his size.
The crate gets 5 stars the shipper gets 2, hmm maybe just one! 😡
One last note… my sweetie is described as an aggressive chewer and destroyed the tray in the smaller crate which is why the black tray in the smaller crate isn’t in the picture. I replaced it with a K9 Ballistics Chew Proof pad with metal sides and it was worth every penny. It’s indestructible!!! I highly recommend it and cannot say enough nice things about it. Plus he seems to be more comfortable me on it.

Me and my ex had a Great Dane mix and had a crate about two sizes down. I can't remember what brand it was, but I do remember it was pretty simple to fold up and take with us wherever we needed to go. The problem was that, if that dog got motivated, it could push through the seems and get out. Just not very sturdy. We ended up getting a size up and a better brand. Again, I can't remember the brand, but it was much more sturdy (and much heavier). While it wasn't a breeze to carry around, we could when necessary. It just took a little persistence.
Here we are today. I miss my ex immensely, but that hell hound can go back to the depths from whence it came. I now have a full size Great Dane and the two other crates I've used are just too small. This is the largest I could find, and he fits in there easily. He's much more well behaved than the Cujo reincarnate from my last relationship, so I can't say whether or not my current dog could find his way out if he was really motivated. But I can tell by the build and how this one is put together that it would take a fresh pig femur coated in peanut butter to motivate my current Dane to even put a dent in one of the walls on this crate.
Overall, I'm very happy with this crate. I wish I could take it with me so I could bring Duke with me to places he might not otherwise be welcome, but the size is perfect, the build is solid, and the price isn't too bad considering how much crate you get.

Viene súper bien fácil de armar y resistente
This crate does not come pre-assembled like the smaller wire crates do, it comes in 6 panels that need to be assembled in a particular order. You need to have room to lay the bottom and side panel down beside each other for installation. I didn't have that kind of floor space so I assembled it on the bed, but had to keep tilting the crate in order to get the corner poles in. By myself it took probably almost an hour, but with enough space and 2 people it should only take 20 minutes or so.
I'm very happy with the quality/sturdiness of it. It has 2 doors, which is very useful, and it has 3 latches on each door.

I’m a petite woman so I had to improvise in how to take it to the basement. I carried one panel at a time. It was super easy to assemble with no help. It took me about 20-25 minutes each.
They are fairly expensive but they are very well made so I guess worth the price.
