Product Description
This is a great aquarium plant combination to bring life to your aquascape. The plants in this package are all truly aquatic plants that will enhance the biological ecosystem in your aquarium and make your fish happy too! Live aquarium plants helps maintain higher water quality by binding organic waste. Aquarium plants will convert carbon dioxide into oxygen which makes for a healthier environment for your aquarium inhabitants. The vast majority fish of species natural habitats' include aquatic plants. They will therefore feel more at home in a planted aquarium. Fish that like their environment are less prone to illness and more prone to be active, display vivid colors and spawn. Additionally, keeping aquarium plants can reduce stress in several ways for your fish. Establishment of territories can decrease the amount of fighting among fish by forming many small territories instead of one big one in the aquarium. Live plants also provide weaker or less aggressive fish suitable hiding spots where they can avoid being bullied. The plants shown on the pictures are from our inventory and you will be getting the plants exactly as pictured. All you need is gravel and light for the plants to thrive. There are 20 species of rooted plants and include Amazon Bleheri, Anacharis, Hornwort, Moneywort, Cryptocoryne, Ludwigia Repens, Rotala Indica, Kleiner Bar, Red Flame Sword, Cabomba, Lobelia Cardinalis, Java Fern, Anubias, Marble Queen Sword, Melond Sword, Ruffle Sword, Hygrophila Araguaya, Hygrophila Pinnafitida, Vallisneria, Dwarf Sagitaria . One thing I think is worth mentioning is the snails. I've had to do snail patrol weekly to keep pulling out baby snails and prevent them from going out of control. I tried quarantining them before adding them to my aquarium, but I had a situation where one of my tanks leaked and I had to do an emergency move to my intended new tank before I was ready and had to scrap the quarantine after about a week.
All-in-All, I am happy with my purchase and would order these again in the future, but I will definitely do a full quarantine to remove snails.

The plants are doing great in my Top Fin Engage 5 gallon tank with Seachem Flourite as the subtrate and a 3 ml dose of API Leaf Zone every week. Lights are on about 8-12 hours out of the day. They are currently going through their third week of cycling so, hopefully, the plants will be established by June so a fish can be added. To help the cycle go, I've been adding fish food every so often and put biomax filter media in the back by the filter cartridge. I will be putting a sponge back there to replace the cartridge and then the tank will be all set!
The plants I received were small (to be expected at this price), but the quality was first rate. They had excellent root systems, which translated into ready acclimation to aquarium life. No "melting", and the three "red" sword plants quickly began to produce the red underwater leaves which are not found in the emersed form that was shipped. Anubis and Java Ferns are notoriously slow growers, but they too remain good healthy plants several weeks after planting.
Altogether, highly recommended.
